This was our sight at the Elks Lodge. Behind us was a farm with pigs, horses, donkeys, dogs, roosters, chickens, goats and more.
This school house was built in 1884 and is the oldest standing school in AZ.
Here we have the Tonto Natural Bridge. The bridge is 150 feet wide 180 feet high and 400 feet long.
We also took a ride on the Mogolion Rim it is about 7000 feet above sea level. The road was great you could only go 10 mph at best and the road was 35 miles long. The View was breath taking and as you will see we were atop a couple forest fires.
We also took a ride to a place called Montezuma Castle National Monument. The latest estimated date of Sinagua occupation for any site is for Montezuma Castle National Monument around 1425 AD. The five-story stone and mortar dwellings contain 20 rooms and once housed about 50 people. A natural overhang shades the rooms and shelters them from rain. Another part of the cliff wall bears the marks of an even larger dwelling.
Another great trip we did was going to Harrahs Casino in Laughlin NV.We spent three days there and enjoyed a a jet boat rid on the Colorado Rive 58miles down to Lake Havasu to see the famous London Bridge. The boat ride was wonderful we seen wild burros along the way.
Yep that's right we passed an airplane
We were lucky to see wild burro's and the scenery was outstanding.
We had a wonderful day with our good friends Gary & Jean.
Well we made it to our destination The London Bridge. It was bought and reconstructed in 1964 and was finished in 1973.
The lights were made from melted down cannons.
We are now in Apache Junction for the winter. lots of sun, golf, hiking, and doing what ever we want.
NOW THE UPDATE ON BUFFY aka. PAT
The doctor she was seeing said the cancer was growing and he could not do anything more for her. He did refer us to another doctor in Scottsdale about 30 miles away to try some experimental treatment. We saw that doctor today Monday the 18th of November and we left his office feeling very good. The treatment is not going to be like the chemo that she has been on for the last three years. Her hair will come back and she will not have the same knock down beat up feeling she has had for the last three years. We both left the doctors office feeling real confident.
