Long Over Due

Well I guess it has been a couple of months since my last blog SORRY about that. About three weeks ago The doctor gave us a wonderful report, Buffy's cancer has gone down and responded real good to the chemo treatment. We do not have to go back to the doctor until after the holiday's but she must keep going in for her blood work every three weeks.

I am working at a swap meet/flee market Friday, Saturday and Sundays for some extra spending money. I work selling stuff from 10am till 4pm then I go work the front gate from 6 until midnight. On Wednesdays I play golf with Elks from Tempe and Buffy and Andrea go out for lunch and shopping. That gives us Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to spend together do food shopping and things like that. On Mondays I play bingo, the first night I won $50 and hollered
"Holy Shit BINGO" then a couple of weeks later I won another $50. Boy this geezer living is great.

Buffy and I enjoyed thanksgiving with some wonderful friends. Andrea had all of us over to her house for dinner. Here she is preparing dinner. It was sunny and 80 on this day

Here everyone is happy and hungry, and wanted to eat.
Come on the heck with the pictures lets eat.

Now no one wants to move after dinner..... imagine that!

Last month I set up a dinner for all the work campers to to get together and have some fun, we went to a place called the Organ Stop Pizza. The building is a Wurlitzer Organ and plays all around you. The organ is on a stage that rotates from side to side while the organist plays requests from the people in attendance.

Well some things never change. I decided to light our RV for Christmas, yeah I know its not the 30,000 lights that I use to have but never less I just had to do it. Remember you can click on the pictures to make them larger.

Buffy & I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas & a safe and happy New Year.

Winter Home

We left Bryce and headed to Moab Utah to see Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. On the way there we stopped to meet up with some wonderful people that we met last year when we were traveling through Utah. They are Carol & Gordon and we stayed the night in front of their house and had a wonderful time getting better acquainted. Buffy and I hope we will get to see them again.

We had a great time the last couple of weeks coming from Portland OR. We met up with our great friends Cathy and Tony in Moab UT. Another good friend of ours Mike met us there also. We spent one day together and went through Canyonland National Park. We all laughed and had a wonderful together. The next day Mike headed out and the four of us took off for Arches National Park.

That was Canyonland National Park and Dead Horse State Park and below is Arches National Park.

The next day Tony & Cathy left us and headed to Bryce Canyon and Buffy and I headed out for Monument Valley. On our way there the wind started to blow and blow it did we experienced 50 MPR winds. We were going to dry camp out in the desert for a couple of days but the forecast called for high winds the next day also so we headed to Winslow AZ. There we had to keep the windows closed to keep the dust out, but had we stayed in Monument Valley it would have been worst. Buffy and I spent one whole day cleaning the inside of the rig. Now 2 weeks later I have to clean the outside of the rig that will take about a week.

Well we are now in Apache Junction AZ and will be here till May. I am now working the front gate 3 days a week 6hrs per day.

Well now that we are here our updates will not be as often maybe only once a month or so. I will keep everyone informed about Buffy's health and what we are up to.

Red Canyon UT

I had to get these pictures online ASAP. They are the best and prettiest pictures that I have ever taken. The place is Red Canyon about 10 miles outside of Bryce canyon. I hope you enjoy them and remember to click on them they will or should expand.

We went for a ride and found some really neat things. In this area the leaves are changing colors and that made for some great pictures.

We then found some lava fields. They go on for miles and miles.

Yep we did some off road driving. We were on some ATV roads and got some really great pictures. The pictures below are lava fields that go on for miles.

I had to get these online for you to enjoy. We are now heading to Arches and Canyonland National Parks. I will update again soon.
