My Health Update

Well what a hectic two weeks this has been for me. As most of you know by now I just had a triple bypass done because I was 99 percent blocked .Everything went so fast it was hard to keep up. My blood pressure has been so low that I see lots of black spots and it is real hard to see the computer screen. The nurses and doctors told me I was healing real fast because I was up and walking so fast. I am still not able to lift anything or walk too far but I am up and walking a couple of times a day around the block. My son Joey came out and stayed with us for the last few days and helped us out. Joey made it to the hospital minutes before I was to go under. He went home Sunday night with a great tan. I want to say thank you to everyone for keeping us in your prayers and thoughts. Now I have lots of doctors appointments the next couple of weeks and I have a home nurse stopping by to check up on me so I am in great hands.

Now for some unbelieveable news..... my great friend Tony could not let me. have all the attention. The after day I came home from the hospital Tony went into the Emergency Room. They did some tests on him and Monday he underwent a triple bypass also. He had a 100 percent blockage. I think we have scared a few people in this park because we are always doing something and being very active.

Buffy has been holding up great this past week and is getting mad at me for trying to do too much and not asking her. She has walked a few times around the block with me to keep me company. She will be driving me everyplace because I must ride in the back seat only. I think I am going to start rehab some time next week or the week after.

Again I would like to say Thank You for all your thoughts, prayers, cards and offerings.
Please don't ignore those small chest pains and shortness of breath go with out seeing a doctor. It could be life threatening.

My Health

Well it's February4th and I went to the doctors for my stress test and failed. I am going into outpatient tomorrow to have a catheterization done on two arteries and hopefully they can fix me with a couple of stints or something. The worst case is they will have to do a bypass. If all goes well I should be home and laying out in the sun on Saturday. When the doctor told me this I told him he must have the wrong guy I had 9 pars and one Eagle on Wednesday he assured my they had the right guy. OK I will let everyone know how I am doing A.S.A.P.

Getting Old is no fun

Well today is February 1st. Buffy and I both had to go to the doctor. Buffy got real good news that she is no longer anemic and her cancer has gone down some more. The doctor said she did not need any chemo at this time. He wants her to have a CT scan done before she goes back next month.

Now for me, I went to a cardiologist. It looks like I have a leaky valve and a possible blocked artery. I am going in tomorrow for an echo cardiogram and then on Thursday for a stress test. My blood pressure was high 140/70 so they increased my medication and put me on low dosage aspirin. I am still able to play golf and do everything as before but can't exert myself to the point of getting chest pains. I am to go back to the doctor on February 15th and will let everyone know the outcome.

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. We spent Christmas Eve with some of our great friends. On New Years we went to the party that our RV park hosted.
Everyone brought a dish to pass and look what Joanne and her daughter made, it is a cheese igloo and olive penguins. cool ha!

The weather has not been good lately. We received 3 inches of rain in just a few days, that was the same amount of rain that they received all of last year. The temperatures have been below normal. Today it was around 70 and sunny but Wednesday it is going to rain again. There was flooding everyplace and Flagstaff AZ received 5 feet of snow. Now the days are getting longer and it should start warming up.
