Hi everyone this past week Buffy has been feeling real good. Last week Buffy had another blood transfusion and has been feeling real good with lots of energy. She has been walking more and more. This last week we went shopping a couple of times. and on Saturday we went to our friends house for dinner. We met Pam & Larry in Apache Junction AZ two years ago. Larry is an Elk and likes to play golf. I have been golfing on Wednesdays with Larry, Tom and the group that they play with.
This is the view from Pam & Larry's back porch. Can you believe it?
Another view from their back yard. Mt. Hood is just off to the right.
Tom & Gloria are Larry & Pam's best friends, they also have a motor home and travel with Larry and Pam and stay in Apache Junction for the winter. They all are great people, and fun to know. Tom, Larry and myself play golf with the Tempe AZ Elks every Wednesday and the girls go shopping. Tom is an Elk also. I guess we are a herd.
This is Joel who stayed at the Elks Lodge for a week. He used to live here and he took me on a walking tour of Portland.
We started out by walking over this bridge.
Check out the mural on the side of this building. It looks like 3-D
This is one of the many fountains in the city. You will notice people are playing in them. All the fountains in Portland are people friendly when its hot out and the people play and stay cool.
OK, I am sitting here because I think it might be my fountain. Why, you ask, check out the next picture.
Yepper it's the Ira Keller Fountain. Who the heck is Ira????? hehehehe
Check out the worlds largest and most manliest grill in the world.
Leave it to Johnsonville to come up with this one.
They had an old boat show in town. Some of these boats are from the 1940's.
This is the world famous Voodoo Doughnut shop, it has been on the Travel Channel. They make wedding cake doughnuts and all kind of things that I would never eat. Check out their web site
