Winter is Over

Well spring has sprung and another winter has passed. We had about 3 OK maybe 4 weeks of cold weather this year. We even had snow here in the valley. We have met some new friends here this year and I have sponsored 3 new Members to the Tempe Elks Jim, Gary, and Ken. I am only going to work the front gate about two more weeks. We are getting the rig ready to hit the road but we have no idea where.

Buffy was doing chemo for the last 3 months only to find out it was not working. The doctor gave her a couple of weeks off and then started her on a new chemo. The only bad thing is we are going to be here into June. She has had 3 treatments and she thinks that it is working. She has her good days and her bad. On her bad days she get sick and just wants to stay in bed. On her good days we try to do something. We went to Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino and seen the Lovin Spoonfull with our friends Gary and Jean. We had a great dinner and a good show and took home some extra money.

Gary has been golfing with us on Wednesday with the Tempe Elks. Two weeks ago I shot the best round of my life a 79.

One night last month Ken, Mike and myself went on a night hike to try and get some night pictures. You can see the lights from Phoenix and the rest of the light was from the moon only.

We do not know where we are going but with the cost of diesel, and Buffy's treatment we know we will be in the area till June. If it gets too hot here we will probably head up to Payson AZ. It is only about 80 miles north of here and around 40 degrees cooler. We will keep you all informed on where we are and how Buffy's health is holding up.

On St. Patricks day Buffy and I went to the club house for corned beef and cabbage. I decided to try my hand at Irish bread. It turned out great and I was proud of myself. Hope everyone survived without turning too green. hehehehe

GOOD LUCK AND GO BUCKEYE'S

Paul & Buffy
